First of all, the diet has not been the best... at least for dinner. Breakfast, lunch and most snacks. I know not having a near 100% Paleo diet is effecting my metcon WODs, but I am still getting stronger.
On December 28th I did:
5 Rounds
21 Thrusters 75#
21 Double unders
12:23
I knew I was kind of slow on this even though I didn't know my PR. When I checked I saw that my PR was 11:39 from 3 months ago. I was very upset. My coaches told me that I shouldn't expect to hit a PR every time, but I think otherwise. I know it has to do with my diet because I did not have the energy that I normally have.
On December 29th I did the CrossFit Total
I went to the board and wrote the numbers I wanted before the WOD.
Previous results, 11/10/09 - 810, 9/1/09 - 845
Numbers I wrote on the board were. BS 345, SP 155, DL 410
I did them all and my new total is 910. Much better than last time and blew away my PR. The diet is having no effect on my strength.
Today, 12/30/09 we did:
40,30,20,10 of
Kettelbell swings 1.5 pood
Knees to elbows
12:49
No previous results on this, but my body felt just like it did the other day. I barely beat one other guy with the same weight as me when I am used to crushing everyone times. Not good.
What happens is I need to rest too much and the body feels week and the stomach hurting.
To sum all of this up, I will be eating a sub par diet until the 1st. Then I will be near 100% clean to train for the NorCal sectionals.
I do have some nagging minor injuries I am working to fix, but should not hold me back to much. One bright spot is that the knees to elbows and skin the cat did not hurt like they did in my arm and back like they have in the last couple of months. I have to test some kipping and butterfly pull ups to be sure.
That's it for now. I hope I have some good news in a few days.
